I talk briefly about flying the 747 and go over 3 pilot skills that you need to learn now which will help you when you flying turbine aircraft. As an aviator, most of the skills we have are learned from repetitive practice flying, so these are skills you can use now regardless of the aircraft you're currently flying.

I love your English. You speak clear and slow enough for a non English native speaker like me. Thank you for sharing

It's funny to see this old video. A lot more technical than the new stuff (which I like, I am a sucker for the technical). it is also funny to see how much more comfortable Kelsey has become infront of the camera over time! He really found his voice over time.

Kelsey you are visibly exhausted on this one! Tank you for giving the effort and sharing with us great content anyway. Keep it up!

The thing I really noticed about flying the 747 is that it isn't difficult but it is different. I transitioned from the 737. Instead of making a lot of small corrections you make fewer larger corrections. My last plane flown was the A320. No more flying I'm over 70.

I love seeing how Kelsey started and that not everything was as perfect as it is now. It encourages me not to feel too inferior watching my own stuff

I learned to fly a 747 based on 3 easy steps! Flight schools hate me!

Really interesting! The *physics* of moving such a huge piece of machinery, and through a dynamic environment with ever-evolving conditions, is fascinating to contemplate. Great work!

You’re really being paid for when things aren’t so tranquil. You are awesome! Thanks so much for these wonderful videos. Your aviation enthusiast!

The last plane I flew almost made it all the way to the other side of the living room. The license plate on my car reads 1luvflyn. I love flying and did so on business trips for about 14 years. I am an aviation enthusiast. I'm enjoying your channel but I must admit I'm jealous. The 747 is my favorite bird.

I just completed my first 30 hours in a cessna and I must say the exact same tips apply. It's nice to know they are going to be valuable long after. Thanks!

Hello from Argentina. I´m Diego and I have to say that you are a really lucky man because of your job...congratulations...I´m not a pilot but I´m a big fan of aviation and the 747...every time I travel to Europe I take Lufthansa as It´s the only airline that flies that aircraft to my country (747-8)...again congratulations! and keep uploading these interesting videos as they make me learn every day a bit more of aviation...regards!

"keep the aileron into the wind" technique usually does NOT apply for Airbus FBW control system unless the x-wind is really strong. it's written in the airbus FCTM. and even if it's strong x-winds condition, just apply a little aileron into the wind to avoid the spoiler deployment which reduce lift. i know it's kind of wired for boeing pilots, but that's how we fly airbus. i also flew 747-400 for 7000+ hrs and now fly airbus 330. i agree that 747 is a very forgiving airplane to fly. i will always miss my days flying 747.

That captain joe comment sure paid off because here I am! Subscribed! I'm not a pilot but fascinated with aviation, always have been, always will be. I love learning and I like that you take a pilot to pilot approach on your channel. Keep up the great work!

Interesting story on flying over the Andes. Flight training can be stressful and I really need to slow down and appreciate the process.

Great video! I fly Dash 8 airplanes, and everything you say is on point!

Hey, saw your comment Captain Joe's video about the exterior check.
Your audio is really clean and crisp for a small youtube channel. Very good! I don't aspire to be a pilot, but I love videos about the workings of planes.

Maybe it's an idea to do a video about the "sounds and noises you hear as passenger when the plane is taking off, or landing". This might help people who fear flying understand what's going on and rationalise the situation.

Example: the sound of the flaps extending might scare some people. Knowing it's the flaps might help

Watching your videos makes me far less afraid of flying. Hearing all the things that pilots go through or even mess up on reassures me that it’s actually pretty difficult to crash!

Nice! I’m in ground school for the 747 at the moment.
