Probably one of the most fitting times that phrase has been used in a Star Wars Movie. Goosebumps and slightly watery eyes.

Rewatching this after the Andor series just hits different. Everything that he’s gone through ultimately leading him to this pivotal moment in the history of the rebellion.

I have only just realised one of the reasons I like this movie so much: Jyn (and the other characters) do not come from a Jedi background, they don't have the power of the force, which makes them so much more relatable. They get the plans and contribute to the rebellion purely by their skill and bravery.

Idk why, but there’s something so beautiful about this scene. They knew they had done all they could to help against the empire, and they accepted their fate. I feel like if they all didn’t die this movie would not be as memorable, it shows that not everyone has a happy ending, but their sacrifice allowed others to be happy after the empire fell. This is my favorite Star Wars movie hands down, its a masterpiece in my eyes.

After watching Andor, Rogue One hits different.

I love this movie so much. For once it takes you outside the boundaries of the Skywalker saga, and suddenly you see what the rest of the galaxy went through -- their sacrifices, their uncertainties, their sheer faith in the face of utter devastation. The Skywalkers may have been the magical heroic chosen-ones for whom everything ultimately always turns out all right, but for everyone else there was nothing but death and destruction and the thinnest slivers of blind hope. I think it means everything that Jyn and Cassian never knew whether or not their message got through... and that the rebel fleet was nearly obliterated by the Empire... and that all those soldiers died just so one could maybe, maybe get the data through to Leia... and that even Leia sent her famous message to Obi-Wan Kenobi out into the void with no proof, and only belief, that it would get through. The main Star Wars movies are all high-flying action and heroes rising, but this movie shows the human cost, and the hardfought hope, behind the stories we know so well.

It's amazing how the Andor series brought even greater relevance to the rebel struggle of the original trilogy. From now on, it will be impossible for you not to see the struggle of Luke, Solo and Leia and not remember those who stayed along the way, sacrificing their lives for the rebellion.

Still absolutely floored to this day that they actually had the balls to kill off the two main characters. mad props to the writers, I'm sure that was a hard call to make, but it gives this movie so much more depth and emotion. True heroes who gave it all to give the galaxy hope

Rogue One is arguably in the top 3 of Star Wars films. The death of Jyn and Casian gets me every time. There wasn’t a forced kiss between lead characters. They just embraced as people. It was really beautiful.
