the shot of the black fading away from the death star to show the true size of the death star is incredible

I wonder if this Tarkin is also wearing comfy slippers.

The part where it started showing the Star Destroyer in front of the death star was solid gold. It looked like stars behind it, but then it reveals it to be the death star! The music only made it better. It was one of my favorite scenes.

The shot of that destroyer coming out from that shadow is one of the hardest shots in all of Star Wars. The angle, the field of view, really nails how massive and intimidating those ships really are.

Honestly this is one of the best digital recreations of a character I’ve seen. It felt as if Peter Cushing was still with us, and it makes me feel better knowing his family give the producers their blessing and Cushing himself wished he was in more films

One of the great things about Rogue One was definitely the cinematic skills shown in this movie. Really absolute Star Wars highlights.

the CGI they used to make Tarkin here is INCREDIBLE, but still ...he looks like he's in a high quality video game cutscene.
Still ...TARKIN!

the music at the end, just makes me realize how badass the death star is

"When the battle station is finished, Governor Tarkin, the Senate will be of little concern." - RO

"The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern...I have just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently." - ANH

Retrospective foreshadowing. xD

When I first saw this I was like “they won’t show his face, there’s no way.” Then he turns around and holy crap they’ve reanimated the entire character!

The computer generation of Tarkin here is actually pretty damn good. You can tell it isn't Peter Cushing, but at the same time, the team did a very, very good job of resembling him.

Who's here after seeing Andor, knowing that the dish being inserted is a result of countless hours of hardwork by prison groups like Kino Loy's.

1:37 Absolute chills. The soundtrack, the cinematography, tarkin looking out at the death star. Perfect

I had no idea Tarkin was going to be in this movie until he appeared. I don't even _care_ that the deepfake isn't perfect, it's good enough, and it was an absolute treat to "see" Peter Cushing on screen again. He'd always said he would have loved to do more Star Wars, after all...

Watching it in theatres, I was shocked to see how they recreated Peter Cushing in CGI. It was phenomenal.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE'S COMPLAINTS . IT'S PETER CUSHING . THIS IS THE MOST REALISTIC DEPICTION OF HIM IN THE CINEMATIC HISTORY TO THIS DATE !! YOU CANNOT FRANKENSTEIN THAT FACIAL STRUCTURE SO EASILY !!

I haven't seen the film, but heard about how they "reconstructed" or even "resurrected" Peter Cushing via CGI. That really is amazing, albeit somewhat unsettling. The actor voicing him and playing his "body" (Guy Henry) obviously did a fantastic job, because he sounds just like Cushing here. Come to think of it, even without CGI, he looks quite like him, too.

When I watched the trailers for this film, I couldn't tell that the Imperial Officer was actually Tarkin, so when I watched the film for the first time in cinemas, I was so so shocked to see Wilhuff Tarkin. Definitely one of my top 10 star wars characters.

I don’t care what anyone says I love this scene.

The shot of the bow of the star destroyer coming out of the shadow is one of my favorite scenes in all of Star Wars
