Also note to add, even when using older version of memtest i tend to test ram until it gets minimum 3 passes, so it means it runs 3 full testing cycles. Some times errors appears after longer stress test as heat builds up in memory module itself that brings problems. So in short don't believe on first pass, aim for longer tests.

Beautiful software, keep in mind the more Ram you have the longer the test will last. I do 20 rounds of testing because it isn't unusual to have error this late. Great video!

This happened to me and after a long time ( weeks ) testing i found out it was the bios, after updating the bios never had another problem.

While a good introductory video on testing your ram, there needs to be a more in depth discussion on ram timings and ram voltage settings before giving people the advice to replace their ram if they are getting errors. Furthermore with regards to AMD cpu's, the memory controller is on the cpu itself, and if the cpu is over clocked, that will have an impact on your computers ram. The ram maybe perfectly fine, it maybe just the rams timings & ram voltages are set wrong in the bios, or it could be a too aggressive over clock is being applied to the cpu. Finally, it your system has more than one stick of ram, make sure they are of the same speed and same timings, preferably from the same manufacturer. And if you are getting errors, you should test each ram stick individually to determine which stick is causing the problem.

Nice video Brian now there are two queries for you 1. What is the difference between Memtest86 Pro and Memtest86 free, and 2. What would happen if one happens to have say a laptop that has one stick of RAM soldered in the motherboard does in that situation mean the machine is defunct as I am assuming that most people (like me) would not know how to replace that stick?

I've tested two RAM sticks using software recently and it ran for 2 hours and all sectors came back fine but when I used the RAM isolated with just using Windows the one stick would blue screen all day. Didn't make sense at all.
