Never tried to feed RAM 12v .. But we used to feed over 4v all day long back in the day. Winbond BH5 ICs used to be what Samsung B-die is today. Some even wired the 3.3v rail directly to the RAM in the 24/7 rig since most motherboards maxed out vdimm at ~2.7-2.9v.

If you lower your voltage a bit, it should do nicely as a coffee mug warmer. Couple of SO-DIMMs at 3-4v perhaps. Or directly to the USB port through a resistor as a travel mug heater. Glue it to the corner of your mouse mat for a compact multi function mat.
