Thank you for this flip through! I downloaded the free version of this unit, but then decided I wanted to purchase the book instead so I didn't have to print full color pages. I am excited to do this unit study with our kiddos. Did you ever use this one with all of your kids? I have a 4 yo and then 11yo and I'm thinking I can use it for both of them at the same time.

I hated the Dangerous Creatures book. They put a shark right smack on the front and it perpetuates myths that are so wrong. I kept the stuff but some of the things my husband (a professional diver) views as dangerous aren't even in there. He has swam within arms lengths of Great White Sharks hundreds of times and they avoid you. It would be a great unit for small kids but the 7-8 extensions aren't great. I ended up adding a lot more to flesh it out. I find they are great guides to structure your own thing. I have a 12 year old though. She always feels like it is for younger kids. I wish they had done more to make it so it could be used totally solo by an older kid. The layouts are great for parents of little ones with the whole say this to your child thing. Then again, I have one kid and these are really assuming you have more than 1 kid sometimes or that your holding their hand.
