Soft spongy brakes after replacing a brake caliper? Is it upside down?

If a parts store sells you the wrong side brake caliper it makes it almost impossible to properly bleed the brake lines because the bleeder valve is blow the incoming fluid supply from the brake line. This will result in soft or squishy brakes.

Same exact issue after caliper replacement. Glad I seen this video as I was thinking about changing the master cylinder as I thought I might have blown out a seal after having kid help bleed the brakes. Popped in new caliper with bleed line on top and all is right again. Always go with the change point.

thanks so much for posting, the same thing happen to me this week after buying a replacement caliper from Oreilly. I went back to the store and sure enough I was sold the caliper for the opposite side. I'm glad I found your video, thank you so much.

This is a common issue and happened to me aswell. Just proves never think someone is competent until proven otherwise, check your purchase before you leave the store.

Ahh man, here I am here 1 year later. Feel like a buffoon after doing this. This explains why I can't get the brakes to bleed. Thanks for sharing!

I just put two new calipers on my sequoia I got second hand but practically new, oops I did this and ya it won’t bleed and the pedal goes to floor. Looks like I’ll be doing the job again and learning from my mistake

The video didn't say if it fixed the problem, yes I read the comment reply that said it but the video should have. Otherwise good vid.
