Fractions Division

It's an easy-to-use route to resources, faster than scrolling through videos on YT!

Relate fractions division to a whole number division statement to make sense of it..
Diagram shows one way we can think through the problem.
Then I use that same problem and demonstrate our math method for dividing fractions.
This first example gives a whole number answer
Next example gives a mixed number answer
Third example gives a proper fraction answer.
Students are requested to make a note for themselves on how to do fractions division. This will support them during homework, or if they forget their method after a holiday (etc., etc.).

Another way to do this is by a process called keep, switch, flip for example: 2/5 divided by 3\4 first you would keep 2/5 and switch from division to multiplication switch 3/4 to 4/5 then multiply to get 12/20 tah dah!!!
oh and don't forget to simplify if you can.
