Thank you! Thirty five years ago when visiting my Grandmother, who at the age of 86 begged for a real breakfast of steak, eggs and bacon. She said she was raised on it and lived her whole life eating this way. When she went into the retirement home they fed her and the residents bran muffins and guava juice. It literally destroyed her. She was a very strong woman in her time. She was the head nurse of Loma Linda Hospital for over 30 years. She new what was good, and everyday when I eat eggs I think of her, and what she said about what a real breakfast does for happy health. She dammed near chucked that muffin across the dinning room and there was silence at the table. We immediately packed her purse and coat and took her out for steak, eggs and bacon. I'm sure that was her last "real breakfast" and I'm glad we could honor what she desired in order to feel healthy. I make sure I have eggs everyday, sometimes a couple times a day.
I love your post, and am grateful for them and am inspired as well as motivated.

Drink bone broth, too. Easy to make. If it tastes boring to some people, then put some onions, spices, salt, veggies, chicken, or even a pat of butter in it to make it more palatable. All people over 50 should be drinking bone broth, at least 2 cups per day.

Vince Gironda, bodybuilding guru from the middle 20th century, used to say that up to 3 dozen fertile eggs/day is equal to a low dose of steroids and is much safer. One thing bodybuilders back then used to do is mix raw eggs with cream and protein powder to get a really good dose of protein and high quality fat in their diet, as well as a boatload of vitamins and minerals, from the eggs. Steak and eggs was a big favorite of Vince, also. Plus, for what it’s worth, he advocated one or two carbohydrate only meals/week to put glycogen back in the muscles. Those guys were way ahead of us, back then. Read Vince’s stuff. He was a bit of a crazy genius.

Thank you and so glad to know I am in great company with my egg eating! Had a hip replacement at 67 about a year ago after decades of eating veg and some vegan. Now doing carnivore into my 6th week! Going great and loving how I feel.

I have been eating only egg yolks. I find I feel much less bloat after, and they taste dense and delicious

I seem to go through phases with eggs. Sometimes I "eat the heck out of them" as the doc says and other times they don't appeal much.

It isn`t so long ago that doctors here in the U.K. were telling us that to eat more than one or two eggs A WEEK would likely result in heart disease. That advice seems to have now been quietly forgotten.

After stopping the vegetarian and SAD diet after it damaged my health. I went ketovore and reversed my prediabetes got my health back and going more towards meat eggs cheese and doing excellent.! Health is back, big improvements in my cycling 🚲 and work outs, no more energy crashes. And my blood work is back to excellent. And yea I eat lots of eggs, bacon, real butter and Ribeye!
