Yes, I like add also that Frida really went wild here haha....she is the more outgoing scene artistic of the two women, both sings like angels, angels as they also look like but we can also clearly see that Frida is the one of the two that enjoyed the stage the most of the girls..not that Agneta didnt, but just to mention it..

If you want to see more of the "crazy" Frida you should react to "Why Did It Have To Be Me", the live version from their Australia tour in 1977. 🤩 There is a video in good quality, uploaded from a user called Eduardo Seijas.

Hello Psyche, this is so good for a swedish heart like mine, a swede...to hear music from the pride of Sweden, ABBA..the greatest band in the world in my view...this is one of their tougher, rockier songs..I really do like it...great song..they were so much ahead of their time..this really have a much more modern sound then one would expect from the 70s..happy new year to you as well...

Hello, so happy to see You for first time in the new year with more ABBA songs

"So long" (1974)
has many interesting things to analyze
its rhythm is in the similar glam rock style of "Waterloo", it was recorded in 1974, months after ABBA's triumph at Eurovision
And since the reissue of “Ring Ring” after “Waterloo” barely made it into the UK Top 40, ABBA's search for a second hit to reinforce “Waterloo” focused on “So long” precisely because of its rhythm and style in the vein of "Waterloo"
But it didn't even make it onto the UK charts, only #91 believe
The following year ABBA would try "I do I do I do I do I do" another Top 40, until finally it was "S.O.S." that broke the ‘only one hit’ curse to #6 in the UK and #15 in the US, and from then on ABBA was the hit-after-hit machine.

"So long" I think is more aggressive than "Waterloo", and at the same time more fun (but don't have the magic of "Waterloo")
Agnetha and Frida do one of their most memorable choreographies
(Frida is a fantastic dancer)
And the live performance on the 1977 Australia Tour is spectacular, is the last song (before the encores)

"So long" is a very good song that unfortunately did not have commercial success
But ABBA always included it in their first TV specials until 1976 included.

These is from a TV Special
"Made in Sweden for Export" (1976)
ABBA was one of the groups or artist, performing three songs from their self-titled album 'ABBA':
Mamma Mía, I do I do I do I do I do, So long

in the B-side of this single was
"I've been waiting for you"
a beautiful ballad folk pop
there's a beautiful TV perfomance in Musikladen, Germany (1976)

See you soon in another video
A cordial greeting from my city and country
Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
South America
and my best wishes to you in 2023
'Happy new year'(as an ABBA song)

I first heard this as a kid 40 years ago and it never occurred to me until around 10 or 15 years ago it was a glam rock inspired song. I think it is the only glam rock type track ABBA have ever recorded. Its really great and you cant not wanna dance to it! Thanks for the reaction and Happy New Year!

Hi Psyche!
I loved your reaction...

To see more of Frida's versatility, i suggest to you:
"Why Did It Have To Be Me?", Live version. While Agnetha makes a costume change, Frida steals all the attention with this song...
or
"Head over heels", oficial video with Frida acting with Björn...
or
"En ledig dag" (1967), with a so much younger Frida, long before ABBA, showing a vocal display that really moves

I hope to see you soon
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱😘👍

It's very difficult not to love Frida (and Agnetha, of course)!

This is definitely their best rock from 'old' early era from Waterloo 1974 album. I prefer this more! The end instrumental and choreography is excellent, a bit wild! 😄

It's got to be one of the only times the girl's choreography was on point... perfect dance routine at the end.
