For this weeks Top 15 we are focusing on the best Turn Based RPGs available on the Nintendo Switch as of 2020. Enjoy!

I had a hard time getting into this genre, but it all changed after playing Battle Chasers: Nightwar! The overworld, the combat, it even includes fishing! A must, if I may say so.
And I think Shadows of Adam and SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech ( unless roleplaying card games is a genre in and of itself ) also deserve a mention. As well as Has-Been Heroes, a truly unique roguelike that mixes tower defense and turn-based RPG - sorta.
Of course you may want to take my opinion with a pinch of salt as, like I said, it is not my preferred genre.

This man really put pokemon above DoS2. I didn't know DoS2 was on switch though. Overall a good list, I personally hated octopath traveler (thank god for game pass or I would have been pissed if I purchased that) but there are some others in this list I will try.

Why even putting Pokemon Sword&Shield though? Especially on Number 1? And ESPECIALLY ignoring Tokyo Mirage Sessions which actually has one of the most polished turn-based combat systems on Switch?

Great titles are on the list, but when i see "turn-based RPG" I expect more RPG than Strategy, and am a little disappointed the list has a bunch of tactics RPGs. Great ones at that though, but i always thought of tactics RPGs as mainly a strategy game first, and RPG second, which makes the main genre a strategy game.

I know Tokyo Mirage Sessions gets a lot of hate for various reasons, but I love the turn-based combat in it. Sessions are super fun to watch and add a fresh new dynamic to turn-based combat.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses, FFVII-FFX, DQXI are by far the best games on this list
