2025 Toyota Crown Signia / Lexus Wagon!

With the Toyota Venza hitting the sunset... again, something needs to fill the gap in the lineup, toyota's answer, the much more expensive, Crown Signia. So, does it justify the cost? Is it good enough to take on a wide variety of cars from the Subaru Outback, Acura RDX, Nissan Murano, Honda Passport, and Jeep Grand Cherokee? Let's find out.

Congrats on getting in there with the other big dog auto journalists with this release. I love your analogies and your practical down to earth, we ain't all rich perspectives. This wagon is going to sell well IMO. It will cut into Outback sales due to similar size and the fact that it has a hybrid drivetrain which many of we Subie owners have been longing for.

Not having an LE trim is a huge bummer. Not everyone needs all the bells and whistles.

For me, a 3 time Outback owner (currently driving a 22 OB Touring), this car has potential. Form factor is very similar to the OB and the hybrid powertrain is the icing on the cake. Along with the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, this may be a serious contender for my next car. That said, I'd prefer some of the safety & convenience factors that only come with Ltd, but when I did a build price, a similarly equipped OB & SF were about $9K less. Not sure the Crown Signia is worth that premium to me.

The perfect American wagon would be 210 inches long. Moreover, the greenhouse should be as wide as the body too. I guess I'm waiting for the GRand Crown Signia. Bonus points if you get the double nuance. Gazoo!
