Ready or Not definitely should have been an Honorable Mention at the least! Maybe it had a few too many laughs for this consideration, but it is easily one of my favorite recent horror movies.

"Talk to me" being number 20 is crazy

Saint Maud, is more of a psychological horror movie. But holy crap, that final jump scare is one of the best I've ever seen. Honorable mention at least.

I’m shocked that The Conjuring wasn’t on here. That’s a masterpiece in the paranormal and horror genres. It’s too good that every time I watch it, the lights have to be on at night haha

Hereditary definitely deserves top spot on this list. First time I saw it, I legit couldn’t sleep for three days.

Missing: His House (2020). So, soooo good! One of the few horror movies of the last few years that really had me thinking about it for a while afterward.

I would add Smile to the list. I know it was derivative of other "passed on curse" movies; but it had SO MUCH atmosphere, and some great well crafted jump scares! Also, I think that what the actual curse WAS is the best idea anyone has ever had for a horror movie like it!

The Witch is phenomenal. There is a reason we call the early 17th century the early modern era, despite how incredibly alien it is in many ways. Usually its depiction in movies or TV leans too much in one direction, this one absolutely nails both.
