Halloween 1978 is my all-time favorite horror movie, even though I grew up through the 90s- 00s as a kid I was hooked the first time I seen The Shape on screen l, I was really amazed by the score, the mood and atmosphere, the small claustrophobic town setting and I appreciated the slow burn feeling as you never knew when and where he was going to strike which kept me on the edge of my seat and when he did it was out of nowhere and unpredictable, even as a kid I really appreciated this masterpiece

The fact that Saw beat out films like Peeping Tom, The Thing, The Haunting (63), Nosferatu and Dawn of the Dead (1978)...unforgivable.

I always felt that old school horror movies were the best like....the Fog, the Thing, the Blob, etc.

The Oscar's really cemented itself as a sham popularity contest after Toni Collette was snubbed. It was one of the greatest performances put on film.

Scream is iconic. Had arguably the greatest final girl ever in the legendary Sidney Prescott. And that opening scene is still one of the greatest openings in all of cinema

George A. Romero’s classic creation ‘Night of the Living Dead’ is still one of my top 10 most favorite zombie movies.

Psycho is an Iconic masterpiece on multiple levels. Hitchcock was a genius in marketing as well. I saw a movie about him and he had crews of people buying every copy of the book everywhere, as he was filming it to prevent people from knowing the story before the movie came out in the LA region at lesst

Hereditary, one of the best horror movies I have ever seen, not your jumpscare horror movies, but the story telling and the ending is so amazing

There are so many films that should get honorable mentions. “Friday the 13th”, “The Blair Witch Project”, “Child’s Play” and “The cabin in the woods”. Yes I said “The Cabin in the Woods”. It’s ability to subvert the idea of horror and like scream poke fun at the standard tropes is beautifully done.

The fact that The Thing isn't on here immediately nullifies it. Perfect film.
