Adapted from the beloved literary classic, THE CALL OF THE WILD vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.

The Call of the Wild (2020) is the new adventure movie starring Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens and Colin Woodell.

2 Things:
1 - The C.G.I. dog, they couldn't train a real one?
2 - The C.G.I. dog has more emotions than the "live action" _Lion King._

Did they really put one of the best actor of all time with a CGI dog?

The way the dog was animated reminded me of scooby doo.

Director: Harrison, Harrison, more emotion please.
Harrison: What do you expect? I'm talking to a tennis ball on a stick.

Couple things
1. I don't care that Buck is CGI. He looks delightful.
2. I don't care that this looks nothing like the book, and I really don't think that will automatically make this a bad movie. It's not unheard of for a movie to be inaccurate but still great. I, personally, am thrilled at the idea of not having to see over a dozen dogs beaten or worked to death on a big screen.

I hate how studios abuse cgi this days... I mean don’t they remember Beethoven, the dog did what need to be done and the look well.... self explanatory...

They took my teenage dreams and shoved them into a movie. Me, a dog, and the unforgiving wilderness. A life of adventure and strife.

For the people complaining about the animals not being really it’s a GOOD thing. The animals would be treated so badly if they were real they did a good thing by making it computer generated

i honestly think that using cgi dog is an efficient way, no need to take a real dog, put them in harsh trainning and pressure them to do difficult shots that need actions or emotions or similar stuffs. and besides technology is making things so realistic now, why not making use of it really!!

Is anyone else besides me annoyed or upset that the dog is 90%
Like how hard is it to get a real dog.

This is what I love about dogs, courage and bravery.

I get the use of CGI for some of the more dangerous stunts, but couldn't they have at least used a real dog for the lying around or companionship scenes?
