Tip 3 is tough to do when you're barely breaking even on maintenance cost.

Sometimes you will be at a drop off and you will go to swipe to complete the delivery and they will flash another order right when your finger touches the screen and you won't have a chance to look at it, it's rare but has happened

Thanks for all the great information. I'm preparing to go out and start today. I just want to pick up and deliver items not passengers. How can I implement this with the app? Thanks again great helpful content.

Question: I see statements that with Uber Eats you can deliver in any US market, but that is NOT the case. I'm in North Carolina and was told yesterday that I can only deliver in this state. To apply in another state will require losing my ability to work on my home turf. I explained the idea of traveling and working to no avail. Thoughts, Anyone?

They are doing the same here in Indianapolis Indiana. They had that glitch going on and I don’t see none of my tips at all.

I'm assuming another tip would be, things always go wrong at some point so be prepared for things to not go perfectly smoothly all the time.

I've noticed Uber has PIN Numbers which Doordash doesn't. When meeting a person to hand them their food you should always ask because you'll end up giving them their food and having to walk back later.

Trends and things changing. I recently quit my pizza del job part time fri sat nights as the past 3 years we have seen a huge explosion of new developments, neighbourhoods, and well i think you get my drift of whos living there and their view on tip culture. 2 dollar per mile avg yes, time factor yes, careful on batch orders yes. 1 thing like to mention know the area, know that if its a good paying delivery, but going 12 miles away from the nearest restaurant, you have to dead head the miles to get back into resturant zone, and now the run might become un-profitable. Careful on shop and pay orders. Most of upfront fare and tip you see is based on a customer tip % wise, meaning if you go to a grocery store, and the grocery store is missing 5 of the 10 items the customer wants, and the customer doesnt want a substitute, well then that 50 dollar bill just dropped to 25.00 and now your 15 percent tip is now 3.75 as that is how it is factored in. Customer rarely reduces their tip as it states after the 1 hour, its the system that is now giving 15 percent of the NEW amount
