As someone living in a “third world” country, but with a strong democracy, even my house maid have a government issue ID, we need a “cedula” for everything we do, bank, work, everything and our democracy is better than ever. The last election the opposition won after 16 years of a previous party. I really don’t get the fear against rules and transparency in an election.

I'm for voter Identification. What I'm against is the law that says government/ governors have the ability to change electors. I'm against government that says water and snacks to people waiting in voter lines is illegal . What happened to a ⁰humanitarian response.
For people who doesn't have a picture id---- help them obtain such. Limiting the hours to vote is also a sleazy way to keep the voting down. You want people to work, then make sure you could supply Mobile voting stations to go to their work. You want a show us you do.
Here in we rose to the call. So stop whining....you should be proud of us! Georgia did have a fair election in 2020 and 2021. And we will again in 2022 and in 2024.
