Got a 2011 X5 35d that Ive done the defered maintenance.

It's simply amazing. The more I studied the M57D30TU the more I had to have it. Gets 20 mpg with my foot in it and soo much power, I can't keep my foot in it. No matter the speed, incline; there's ALLWAYS MORE! Amazing

I really enjoyed your assessment. I’m in the US and I have had a E53 3.0 and the E53 4.4…(Both Gas) The 3.0 was the greatest vehicle I have ever had. I had well over 250, 000 and gave it to a family member and have regretted it. I have the 4.4 now, but it hasn’t been nearly as good. Its still a nice truck so I’m going to hold on to it a little longer. I would consider a E70 but I don’t like the newer ones…. Keep up the great work. Glad to have found your channel

Amazing content created for the X5 generations, thanks for the insights. If the price is right then the G05 x40i and x45e are two amazing options.

I really hope you get lots of views on this type of series so you can do the same for Audi Q7 or Mercedes GLE / Lexus RX / Volvo XC90 / etc

I think the 2020 X540i is the sweet spot with the awesome B58 engine which has the improved metal oil pump ring which doesn't snap (unlike the plastic one, up to late 2019)
Also easier to tune where as the 2021 is locked.
I'm not convinced on electric and lugging around a heavy battery which takes 8+ hours to charge to full.
Lets keep things simple with a solid petrol engine.

Electric cars will be dead in ten years. The buyers market just doesn't want it, despite the corrupt push for the absurdity of net zero.
I still own an X5, and despite zero services over the past half a decade, it still runs smoothly in its 20th year. My next vehicle will be an X5...but again, it will be a diesel.

Tomorrow I’m buying a 2009 35d with 72k, Then came across this video. Now I’m second guessing…

If you’re seriously recommending people buy the N57 (40d) instead of the M57 (30/35d) in the E70, you’ve literally just lost all credibility, brother.

I had a 4.6is, lovely car with character, but not without minor niggles. Seemed a little like someone crossed in a bit of mongrel Alfa DNA with a drinking problem.
