Brilliant review.
I drive an X3 MSport and had always wondered if there was much difference between the two. After driving an X5 as a courtesy car for a week my X3 felt like a toy when I got back in it. I bloody love the X5 😍

I bought one of these 4 months ago, I've done 3k miles in it and I absolutely love it!!

Went for the 30D, plenty of power and performance dont feel like i'd need any more power. Got the comfort plus and M sport Plus packs, exhaust note is great because of it.

Absolutely nothing I can fault on it

On the close up shot of the boot you can see the broken and knocked up suitcase but when the camera has panned by to normal view the broken case is gone like magic! lol

Drove one of these on an extended test drive. Trust me it's the SUV to have, absolutely stunning features and the driving characteristics are beautiful. You really do feel special in it, fit and finish helps with that. The only thing it's missing is a cd player.

That tailgate lowering function is great for dogs and generally, I like the inclusions in the boot/tailgate area such as the gas struts and electric tailgate.

So it has beams that can shine up to 600 meters so traffic up ahead know in advance a BMW driver is steaming up their rear. Then it has a camera in the nose so BMW drivers can tailgate even closer than before. I mean you gotta give it to them, they know their clientele well.

I love the way BMW has thought of the details like split tailgate (don't know why Mercedes has not followed suit), rear windows that go all the way down, parcel shelf that fits into the floor when not in use, and fabulous infotainment system. All little things that you really come to appreciate in daily use. Kudos to BMW for making the X5 genuinely user-friendly. The fact that sound insulation has improved along with the ride & handling just makes it the absolute complete & perfect SUV! For me, it might cause me to switch from MB back to BMW, depending on how good the new GLE turns out to be.
