A strong magnet, skinny needle nose pliers is all you need to open those type of security tags. The sensor is there to set off the alarm if your going to steal it. I find that the ones that burst ink all over are more of a theft deterrent than those cheap tags.

You could also use the same method the stores do and use a magnet. That would take you a few seconds and no tools required.
Or, if you didn't steal the sneakers, go back to the store and they will take it out for you

This can happen even with online orders! I ordered some nikes from Dick's sporting goods and they arrived with the alarm tag 🤦🏻‍♀️. Thankfully they are resending another pair 🎉
