I remember getting my Savy from my local pet store and was kinda of surprised to see how many recalls they got. Out of the 55+ that they sold I ended up being the only one to keep mine. It was strange as they are pretty good at giving advice on reptiles/birds...so I was kinda confused...turns out the owners heard Savannah Monitor and thought instant money! Sad but true. I still have my Mooshu. She is not very friendly LOL but she's super cool and I'm working with her. The more she grows...so does her confidence. Treat them good....they remember...yes they REMEMBER!!!

I bought an 8 year old Savannah monitor for 35$ She is really big for a lizard but small for a savannah. She is very very food motivated and the previous owner made no attempt of taming her down. I filled her water bowl after I just fed her 19 dubias and a rodent which maybe wasn't the brightest idea as she immidiently went for me after I opened the slide door. Splashing her with water works surprisingly well to get her out of hunting mode. She tailwhipped me through the glass 4 times after I walked by her but when I went to clean her poop I put my forearm infront of her so she wouldnt go for my other hand as I was spot cleaning and for some reason she didn't bite my (protected by leather clothing) arm, instead she closed her eyes and just slowly moved her head back. The previous owner assured me she was not scared of people and if I put my hand in the enclosure she would bite me but that doesn't seem to be the case at all

Would you be willing to make a detailed video about your feeding, handling, cleaning schedule/system...to include your reptiles and other pets, while still maintaining a good balance with your kids and husband? I'm a stay at home mom to three small children and multiple pets. I make everything work but you seem to be much more organized than I am, so I'd love to know your ways. :) Please include whether you rely on a whiteboard, post its, notebook, etc.

Idea for a video, i been pondering about breeding bearded dragons. Maybe make a video about that if you'd like. I remember hearing about het bearded dragons something along that line. Im not sure what het means i knows its a type and that theres other types too. You are so beautiful and have a beautiful accent and passion for lizards its so cool! I'm from jersey so your voice is just so different from what i hear everyday i love it.
