What is your IQ? Test your true intelligence to see if you are smart, clever or an outright genius.

A person's IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, is basically a measurement of how clever you are. True intelligence is a combination of 5 factors: learned knowledge, knowledge application, reasoning, decision making and logic. Your IQ level is your ability to understand and adapt to situations, use your knowledge and reasoning to overcome obstacles and complete tasks.

There are many types of tests used to measure your IQ. In this quiz, we will ask you 20 logical reasoning questions that will test your verbal, numerical and diagrammatic analysis. You have 10 seconds to complete each question. Award yourself 1 point for each question you answer correctly, and the results at the end will reveal your estimated IQ level.

Please note: This test have not been standardized, so an actual IQ assessment cannot be given. The result is purely an estimated value.

You should provide the reasons for your answers. It would be better.

I’m going to try to explain each question’s answer and I’ll bold the ones that might have tripped you up. Some of the explanations may be confusing to understand though. Why am I doing this? Idk I feel like it I guess

1: the correct answer is dog because it is the term for an adult puppy, as cat is the term for an adult kitten.

*2: This is the only one I didn’t get but I’m trying to figure it out

3. The first two numbers, 1 and 1, add up to 2, which is the third number. Then the 2 and the number left of it, 1, add to 3, which is the next number. 3 and the number left of it, 2, add up to make 5, which is the next number. This pattern continues. What you need to do to find out what ? stands for is take the number furthest right (13) and add it to the number left of it (8) which will get you 21 (the answer).

4. The top row of shapes has the black line decreasing 1/3 of the size of the first black line (the top left). This pattern is the same with the middle row of shapes. The last row of shapes, in order for the pattern to continue, you need 1/3 of the black line on the top left while still staying at the same angle and position. Don’t let the white square behind the black line fool you though because they are trying to trick you. You have to pretend there are no white squares behind anything and just pick the answer with the black line in the right position, which is the top left answer.

5. The sum of the equation above is added to the sum of the equation under it. In order to maintain this pattern you must add 4+6, which is 10, then add 18 which is the sum of all the equations above it. The answer you get is 28

6. Glum, if you boil the definition down, means sad. For the people who don’t get this think of the Pokémon Gloom, which is a combination of the words glum and bloom. You see they always look sad (that’s a way to remember it). The opposite of that would be happy, joyful, or cheerful, which cheerful is the answer.

7. The correct answer is forest because many trees make up forests like many pebbles make up beaches.

8. ALGEBRA! If three purple cups equals 12 then purple must equal 4 since if you plug 4 for the purple cups it equals 12. Plug in the numbers for the next equations and solve. For the top equation you must subtract 4 from 16 (which is 12) and divide it by 2 because there are two orange cups, which makes the orange cups equal 6. For the third equation you subtract 4 from 28 (which is 24) and divide it by 6, which means the blue cup equals 4. Now plug in the numbers for all the cups on the bottom equation, but remember there are two blue cups so you have to add 4 twice (which is 8). Solve: 8-6=2 then 2+4=6. 6 is the answer.

9. Find the differences between the corresponding numbers by subtracting them (ex. 3-1=2, 3-6=-3). If you write the differences down you notice a pattern with the differences. Top is the input (ex. 1 is input for 1 is 3), and bottom is difference
1 2 3 4 5 6
2 ? ? 0 -1 -3
We can assume that the difference for input 2 is 3 and the difference for the input 3 is 1. Rewrite it again with those new numbers:
1 2 3 4 5 6 (7?)
2 1 3 0 -1 -3 ?
Now if we want to keep the pattern we need to make the difference for input 7 a -2. So if you subtract 2 from 7, you get 5, which is the answer.

10. MORE ALGEBRA! Say P=phone cost, and C=phone case cost. We know that P and C cost $520 and C plus $500 is P. These are the equations those represent:
P+C=520
C+500=P
We already know C+500 equals P so plug that into the first equation:
(C+500)+C=520
All you have to do is solve now.
C+C is 2C
2C+500=520 (subtract 500 on both the equation and solution)
2C=20 (divide 2 to both the equation and solution)
C=$10
Now that we know what C equals ($10) we plug it into the first equation:
P+10=520 (subtract 10 to both equation and solution)
P=$510 ($510 is the answer)

11. While inferior, cheap, and shoddy mean the same thing (worse, less in value, bad), rare means something more valuable, which is the opposite of the others. Therefore rare is the odd one out.

12. Geology is the study of Earth’s structures which involves the study of rocks. The only term out of the four that involves studying seeds is biology. Therefore biology is the answer.

*13. Welp, more algebra I guess. There is a square and a diamond with a number at each angle. If you add the numbers on the square you get 1+5+5+4=15, which is the number in the middle. You need to make the numbers on the diamond also add up to 15 but 6+3+4=13. In order to make it equal 15 you must add 2, so plug in 2 for the question mark. 2 is the answer.

14. Separate each number on the left between the hundreds digit and the tens digit (ex. 102 ➡️ 1| 02). Then switch those two numbers (ex. 1 and 02 ➡️ 02 and 1). If you divide those two numbers (02/1) you get what it equals (02/1=2). This pattern continues:
08/2=4, 18/3=6, etc.
Do the same with 515. Separate to 5 and 15 then switch the order to 15 and 5. Then divide them, this gives you 3 which is the answer.

15. The term for cooked pig is bacon. The term for cooked sheep is mutton. You might have remembered this from Minecraft.

16. How do you use a dictionary? Simple: look at the first letter and order them from when that letter comes in the alphabet (ex. Apple, banana, yellow, zebra). If the first letter is the same, look at the second letter, and so on. Mane is first because n is before u and is the only word that doesn’t have u as its third letter. Maundy is second because the forth letter comes before the other word’s forth letter. Then mausoleum is third because its forth letter is s, which is before v. Mausoleum is therefore the answer.

17. Dawn come before noon. Dusk comes before midnight. The reason why it’s not any of the other terms is because they either don’t describe a time of day (dark), to broad (night), or come before dusk (afternoon).

18. Every other number (1, 4, 7) the number increases by 3. In order to get the answer you must add 3 to 7. 7+3=10 so 10 is the answer.

19. The second number in every row is the first number multiplied by 2 (ex. In the bottom row 3*2=6). The third number in every row is the first number multiplied by 4 (ex. In the top row 2*4=8). What we need to do to find what ? stands for, we need to multiply 3 by 4 to continue this pattern. 3*4=12 so 12 is the answer.

20. These numbers are going in multiples of the first number in the row. The thick black line in the middle separates the two rows of numbers so you know they aren’t going by the same multiples. The - equals 2 because in the top row, if you were counting in multiples of 1, 2 would be the second number. For the bottom row you can tell that those numbers are being counted by multiples of 2 since the difference between them is always 2 (6-4=2 and 8-6=2). So to find the value of ? you have to keep counting in multiples of 1 starting at 1 until you reach the ?. The answer should be 4.

Well, that was fun but some of the questions are hard to explain. I’ll try to see if I can explain question 2 better. I don’t know why but I really liked doing these questions, they were better than the questions in some other YouTube videos.

A problem with this test specifically (and “IQ tests” in general) is that it relies way too heavily on one type of intelligence or skill—namely, the ability to figure out number pattern problems. There is certainly more to intelligence than the ability to figure out this very narrow type of problem.

I got 10 questions right. That’s including guessing two of them because 10 seconds is not enough time for my brain to process the question let alone recognize a pattern. I was able to solve 8 extra questions after pausing to think for a minute. Two of them stumped me completely. I’m surprised to see so many of you all doing so well at this test.

The 10 seconds are short and when you have TIMER Tic-tac-tic-tac it make you stressed. i needed to pause and think. and translate if need :D

Got 18/20. I might've guessed one a little late so I'm fine with saying 17/20 as well. Time restrictions were really hard and for some of the maths ones, I gave the answer that just felt proper to me. Like I knew it was probably the answer but couldn't come to the conclusion as to why. Anyone else had the same thing happen to them? Definitely need more time on maths ones for me. Had fun with this regardless.

Edit: I guess it also didn't help I was doing this with heavy eyes feeling sleepy, but doing this again is pointless for obvious reasons. I also did want to mention practice in doing puzzles will help in increasing your processing speed with these. So, don't feel down if you scored lower than you expected. We're all smart at certain things after all.

I got 15 right, usually I get a better score on IQ tests, but the time limit made it really hard

Definitely provide explanations after the answers because there were some questions I though were stupid and didn’t have an answer.

Question 2 had me for a while. Here's the answer, multiply bottom left with top right of each circle, then the answer reads from bottom right to top left. So 4*9=36 😁

See I have a problem here with question 4, I can understand why people say top left and I find it so weird that that's what the video says is the correct answer. But the Squares themselves are rotated 45 degrees. So if we rotate them back so they would fit into position should it not be bottom left is the answer?

Sticking to the 10 second limit I got 11, 7 of them involving words which were far easier. Would have got another 4 of the number/maths questions right if I took up to five minutes on each one. 2 and 9 completely baffle me!

For question 2, what's the logic behind the answer?. The first 2 circles add up to 26 but the third one can't with the options given

I got 9 which is a High Average.

Ps: Non-English native speaker and solved them all for 10 seconds given to each questions.
My confidence has just increased again :) Thanks!

I honestly think there should be more time for the questions so you can do it legit and wouldn't have to pause. Especially for the ones like me who don't speak English as their mother tongue

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
for q.8) Lets take:-
orange cup: x
purple cup: y
blue cup: a

1. x+y+x = 16
2. y+y+y= 12
= 3y = 12
= y = 12/3
y = 4
So for the first one,
1. x+4+x=16
2x+4=16
2x = 16-4=12
x=12/2=6
3. a x 6+4 = 28
10a = 28
a=28/10
a=2 (this is the part where i got confused)
4. 4-6+4 (B.O.D.M.A.S)
4-(6+4)
10-4=6??

BTW!! i dont know much about algebra, and were just learning the basics (im in 6th grade)
