4 because you start for 3 + 3, 3 + 3 = 6, 6 x 2 = 12, 5 + 5 = 10, 10 x 4 = 40. If you noticed, you add the numbers and then multiply by ascending even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.). But you may also notice that the numbers that you are adding are ascending odd numbers, (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.). If you start at 2 for 2 + 2, you multiply the sum by 1 because for the ascending odd numbers, you multiply by even numbers starting at 3 which causes you automatically to multiply the even numbers by odd numbers. Hope this made sense.

40 because the sum of each equation is multiplied by the increasing rule of x2, so x2 x4 x6 x8 so the last one should be x10. 2+2 is 4, and 4 x 10 =40

Easiest/quickest answer: Ignore the first number in each equation and find what to multiply the second number by to = the values.

3 x (4) = 12
5 x (8) = 40
7 x (12) = 84
9 x (16) = 144

The multiplier is increasing by “4” each time, so now its

2 x (20) = “40”

The equation is - X² + (X * Y)

Hint: the extra amount of numbers between the main numbers times x + x. So 3 + 3 x 2 = 12. 5 + 5 x 4 = 40 and so on. 1+1 would be 0 as 1 x 0 = 0. However since its 2 + 2, its 4 x 1.

There are multiple ways you can interpret this one, because multiple patterns are present. First one that came to my mind was that every number was multiplied by interval increasing by 4 (ex. 3x4=12, 5x8=20, 7x12=84 etc) so by that logic I went 2x0=0 but there are other correct answers as well

The function f(x) = 2(x^2-x) works.
So 4 is (one of) the correct answers.

The answer is "40" Let me explain: At every one we are doing this (Number+Number) X (2 X Sequence)
EX: At the first one we are doing 3+3=6 6x(2.1)=6*2=12
The answer: 2+2=4 4x(2.5)=4*10=40

(3+3) x 2 x 1 = 12
(5+5) x 2 x 2 = 40
(7+7) x 2 x 3 = 84
(9+9) x 2 x 4 = 144
(2+2) x 2 x 5 = 40
It depends on what number youre on, the 3+3 is the first equation which is why its times two, they're all multipled by 2 but then multiplied by their rank number, the 1st one by 1, 2nd one by 2, 3rd one by 3, and so on....

Most people saying that is 40 in which I understand, but you are missing one step. The final equation isn’t in order with the rest. When you put it in order, you will release that since it is behind 3+3, you will multiply by 1. 2+2=4. 4x1=4.






You also could’ve just added 2 + 2
