This is the first time I've heard Fr. Cajetan and I must say, he has an excellent speaking voice.

Wow. Aquinas is difficult to understand, so I very much appreciate his clear, concise, and slow speech it helps the volume of information sink in better! Bless you Father!

I sure wish I had Dominicans teaching me at university instead of Jesuits -- I might have learned this years ago instead of just now! This is great!!

Thank you Father! I did wonder about this, as I do see with some Priests, their human struggles, but know, it's my job to pray and sacrifice for them. Blessed be the Lord!😊

Thank you for this video and other teachings such as these! Obviously, these sort of things don’t typically get covered in the Mass, so many Catholics, unfortunately, have questions but never sufficiently ask.

Thanks Father I’m really enlightened about the Sacraments being the instrument of Gods Loving Grace independent on the state of the one giving it! Be him or her Holy or not doesn’t matter! The Sacrament validity and as an instrument for a source of Grace rest with The Trinity God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit! Most easily understood by a common older Catholic man like me! K Thanks more of this kind of video! Godspeed Godbless k!

I really love Fr. Cajetan Cuddy's take on all sorts of stuff. I've been binge-watching his videos lately :) He and Dr. Matthew Minerd have inspired me to dig deeper into Aquinas' psychology and moral theology. Anyway, thanks to the Thomistic Institute for producing such awesome videos. To God be the glory!

1 John 1:8-9 "If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness"
Confess your sins to God directly and avoid the middle man (human priest). In the example of the water and pipe, water that comes out of a copper pipe is good, but water than comes out of a lead pipe may be contaminated with lead and therefore be deadly. Avoid the middle man, and lead pipes.

Informative video. About angels administering the sacraments: considering the children who witnessed the apparitions in Fatima, it is said that an angel gave Holy Communion to the children before they received it from the priest. So is that the same reason as mentioned in this video where God can also use angels to distribute the graces of the sacrament?

Short of having their priestly faculties revoked by their superior or having been excommunicated, a priest may still administer the Sacraments.

A priest who is in a state of sin, is no less effective and the Sacraments are no less legitimate (and thus the graces conferred by said Sacraments to the recipient are no less present or “intense”).

“Donatism” is the heresy that opposes the Church and Church Dogma, by claiming sinful priests may not perform the Sacraments…and if they do, that the grace is diminished or removed entirely that would otherwise be conferred to the recipient of the Sacrament.
