Tim Staples delves into the Catholic perspective on salvation, addressing the common misconception of "faith alone." He clarifies the role of grace, faith, and good works in the Christian life, while emphasizing the importance of the seven sacraments as channels of God's grace. Tim weaves Scripture and Catholic teaching to provide a clear and compelling explanation of this fundamental doctrine.

Sacrament of anointing of the sick is very clear as well in James 5:14-16

I would say this as a protestant, when it comes to the sacraments, it's probably the only thing in Catholicism that I can, and probably would defend with strength. Especially when it comes to the sacrament of baptism as it's a public gesture of obedience to God when somebody gets born again.

Clarification: The original title was accidentally misleading - each Catholic does not need (nor is always able to receive) all seven sacraments.

This is interesting because ive also seen reformed/lutherans saying something very similar and saying that baptism saves

Tim Staples only quoted the first half of Mark 16:16. The entire verse is: "He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned." It seems that faith is the deciding factor, not baptism.

If Jesus tells his Apostles he is sending them the Holy Spirit, and this is scriptural, then isn't the Filioque without doubt true, and the Great Schism then invalid?

Jesus is the visible icon of the invisible God (Col. 1:15) and the head of his Church which is his body (Col. 1:18). Sacraments are visible signs he instituted to continue his visible ministry through his mystical body after his ascension: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father." - John 14:12. Just as Jesus forgave sins, healed the sick, and blessed others with his presence in the first century (often using tangible signs like laying on of hands, oil, mud, etc.) so too he continues to perform such miraculous works through his ministers to give us objective, certain knowledge how his invisible grace benefits us. Bottom line: Sacraments are Jesus' works and abiding presence in every age of this world.

I have a question! If a faithful catholic decides not to get married or to take any vows and choose celibacy what would be his sacrément there?

What does the Bible say?

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Acts 16:29 And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

Jesus taught we’re only saved by loving Him enough to live His Commandments, His Only One True Apostolic Catholic Church, Sacraments, Doctrine, Teaching, having faith, doing His works, receiving His grace, love & mercy! He taught if we don’t remain in His Church & Doctrine, We DO NOT HAVE HIM.
2 Jn1:9, Rom16:17, Heb13:9, 2Thess3:6-16, Gal1:6-9, 2Cor 11:3-4

We’re to receive His Sacraments or we will never enter Heaven.
Jn3:5, 6:51-59, 1Cor 11:23-29, 2Cor5:18-20, Jn20:21-23, Mt18:17-18 are a few of them.

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees & Scribes for making their own version of His One True Church & Doctrine, just like all other Christian Churches & other Faiths have done. Mt 23:1-39, Lk 11:37-54

Salvation is of the Lord, not the RCC.

Incorrect - there are many other dogmas or papal bulls that you need to believe, or you will still go to hell ( Mary assention to heaven) etc read The RCC Catechism etc.

That's wrong
Catholics need to stop sinning. You can't have salvation if you are a sinner. The only way to stop sinning is by faith alone. 1john3:6 tells us anyone who sins doesn't know God or understand Him. So don't listen to this guy he doesn't know what he is talking about. All catholics are sinners. So not even this guy or all the alleged popes and bishops knew or understood God.
I'm confused why this guy thinks he knows God when God Himself says that He doesn't know this guy. I think you need to pick a new career Tim.
