So what is hermeneutics? Hermeneutics is the study or science of interpretation.

So when we come to the subject of biblical interpretation you will hear people talking about hermeneutics.

I know it is a big word, but it is simply how to study the bible and arrive at its exact meaning.

So whether you are a beginner or seasoned, learning hermeneutics is vital to understanding how to study the bible effectively.

So, how do we interpret the bible?

There are three main contexts we must use.
1. The normal use of language
2. The grammatical use of language
3. The historical context of the writing

These three contexts will help you uncover the true meaning of the bible passage you are studying.

Excellent subject. This is why I use an NASB Hebrew/Greek Study Bible. And always read for context. If you’re not sure about a particular passage, follow the 20/20 rule: read the preceding 20 verses and the following 20 verses.

Dear pastor Addison, thank God for you. You are my answered prayer. You have truly inspired me and as an elder in my church. I really don’t take quality time to study my word. It also helps to use a Strong's Concordance to look up the actual definition of the English words within verses. Many of the English versions are paraphrases and pretty bad translations.

Didn't know that God's word needs interpretation a d especially by a third person. This is what is said about Koran as well which can not surely be true..
