they made our mc's backstory as soldiers, but we couldn't even reply with something like
"Served with a few people like you back then, could probably find them under all that snow in Anchorage"
or

All three factions that would use nukes are filled with people who are rude. The institute has Dr. Ayo, but you can just ignore him or frame him for something and get him replaced.
