God of War: 20 Spoiler-Free Tips For Before You Start

I played all of God of War! So did Kotaku Dot Com's Kirk Hamilton. Well, I played it twice.

Kirk Hamilton wrote up a list of handy tips before you begin playing. I couldn't fit all of these into a video without spoiling something, so I made do with what I could. The game is out now! Yay! Play it!

Here's a tip:
Activate any Mystic Gateway (the teleportation doors) and all your health will refill. You don't have to walk through, you can cancel afterwards and still ge the full health recharge.

Also, you can change the button scheme to a more traditional layout if you need to. I was 5 hours in before I realized this and it made the rest of the game much more enjoyable since I didn't have to remember a new scheme.

That was funny, especially about Metal Gear and Cooldown. Seriously though, I didn't get those axe skills until very last. I was obsessed with throwing my axe and then running in unarmed, so I specced shield and throwing axe all the way! No regrets.
