Thank you! I haven't been able to find any other examples where x depends on y in the support, all other videos are something like 0<x<1 ; 0<y<2
So this was very helpful!

Hi, Vivian, I am a student majoring in statistics. Thank you so much for your video. I was struggling to find the lower and upper bounds for the joint probability of two continuous random variables. Your video is awesome. 你好Vivian, 非常感谢你用适中的语速娓娓道来地讲述知识点。You are a saver indeed.

ii didin't uderstand how we chose the region of x<y just by selecting a point at random.how should i know the region is above the line and not below .because if i chose another point at random it can satisfies the fact that x<y and the region then will be below the line of x=y

can you find the upper and lower limit without a rough graph?

10:44, did you swap the position of dx dy?
Shouldn't be dx on the outside, for integrating from -infinity to b,
and dy on the inside for integrating from -infinity to a?
