I have TSA Precheck. I usually get through security in 2 min and I always fly with carry on bag only. I always travel with refillable Platypus water bottles, I can fill after going through security.

Loved the video. My husband breezes through airport security and then he sees that I’m once again chatting with a TSA agent. My grandson liked my battery operated candle so I was going to give it to him as a surprise. Of course, I forgot to remove the batteries. Maybe batteries are ok now, but not at that time. Last time I flew, I was “randomly” selected for a complete body pat down. I weigh 100 lbs so I sure cant hide anything. Coming home from Japan, I was nicely escorted to an area where the agent questioned me about a dry shampoo I had. All he knew was that the scan showed it was a powder. Powders may be ok now but they weren’t pre-COVID. I’m traveling next week. Hopefully, I’ll breeze through!

This is one of the best videos I have seen on this, thank you. When I am checking in I put all of my pocket stuff and jewelry in my backpack to get ready for screening. I keep the electronics in one backpack section. computer, kindle, phones, umbrellas and power-banks all come out. As a courtesy to others, take your bins to the end of the scanner area to repack everything so you are out of the way.

I got flagged in India once for a Nataraja statue that I bought. They were worried about theft of antiquities. Mine was new with machined screws when I told them they could have it they decided it was OK. Shiva was looking out for me. I wasn't giving up a $300 plane ticket over a $20 trinket that I could easily replace.

I once had to go check my bag as I had snow globes in it and didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to take them on board as they are considered a liquid. I only took them in my carry on to protect them but they arrived home Intact.

I like to FREEZE my water to get it through TSA. It must be solid and NOT slushy, drink excess water off before going through.

An option for wrapped presents: don't _wrap_ them, per se. Instead, put them in a gift box. You can even wrap the box bottom and lid _separately_ and get the same festive look ... but if a TSA agent has to examine the gift, they don't have to damage the "wrapping" to do so ... they just have to lift the lid off the box. :)

So, Boycott Air Travel. It is not worth it to travel. If it is not worth traveling by car (maybe Bus) it is not worth the time or trouble. TSA is just a "Make-Work Job' by the federal government to hire the marginally competent, lazy, and other dregs of the society. ALL tax payers pay for this "service", not just the travelers who "use" them.
