Most Lightning Strikes Survived - Guinness World Records

The classic tale of Roy C. Sullivan who was unlucky with lightning.

Over the course of his career as a park ranger, Roy was struck by lightning no less than seven times. His wife was also struck by lightning once and it led to him having very little social life.

Technically, he was supposed to be struck 8 times, but the lightning missed and hit his wife. So sad that he took his own life whether it was from loneliness or because he didn't want to get struck again. That just sounds so very painful! Bless his soul!

Which means he was actually struck 6 times, since I counted.

- So In 1942 was his 1st lightning strike experience.
- In 1969 was his 2nd time. (27 Years ago was his 1st time)
- 1970 was his 3rd time. (1 Year apart)
- 1972 was his 4th (2 Years apart)
- 1973 was his 5th (1 Year apart)
- And In 1976 was his 6th time being struck. (3 Years apart)
- And also which could've been his 7th time was when his wife was struck by a lightning.

It's sad that you have an astronomically higher chance of being struck by lighting than you do winning the power ball jackpot or any big lottery for that matter. Heck even winning a sweep stakes if enough people enter.
