If you know physics and probability, the story has a lot of inconsistencies (Example: "the car stopped at a very edge of a pitfall" sounds like hyperbole, exaggeration and self importance). Hungry bear story also seems b.s. Not worth my time to explain all the other reasons. Sounds like he was once or twice struck and because he suffered un-diagnosed mental afflictions, he imagined or hallucinated the rest of incidents / details.
