Jesus also knew what the Jews believed, and the Jews and Jesus both endorsed the same scritpures, and yet Jesus still taught something completly different than what the Jews believed, so at least in that, Joseph is not really that extrordinary by teaching something against main stream Christianity, though the idea to become like God is not really that unique to Mormons... Many church fathers spoke apporvingly of the idea that humans can become divine, and so absurd does it not sound when reading the scriptures giving the promise that we will be joint heirs with Christ, receive of his glory as he received from the fathers glory, and sit with him on his throne... (which defines a King, or a God)...

And by the way, the probably most false statement in that video is that "Mormons do not like to talk about this"... this is simply not true, there are enough Mormons out there that love to engage with this..
