My 3 year old has chronic redness and dry skin under his eyes like those allergic shiners. It’s so sad and I feel so bad for him. But we’ve been by the allergist so many times and the only thing he comes back allergic to is fish, which we are very careful not to give him. Both his allergist and dermatologist keep referring him back to the other saying it’s not caused by their specialty!

I acquired an allergy salute line as a kid! Many decades later, I still have it despite not “saluting” lol!!!

I've heard of allergic shiners (had them pre-food allergies diagnosis), but the "allergic salute" is a new one. lol

My older sister was doing that salute for years & never knew there was a name for it

I rub my nose side to side and i looked like those kids when i was younger i got bullied alot because of if. Also i have dark circles aroung my eyes ....way way darker then the examples and puffy eyes.


I have severe pollen and dust and dander allergies like really bad
