"Who the hell knows what pop is" 🤣 This is a great, fun tag! I was an English major as well, and yeah, when you read so many books that you didn't choose to read, it's tough to like them all, especially when sometimes we are too young to really "get" what the book is doing or saying. I fully believe I was not ready for most of the stuff I was forced to read in school.

I grew up and still watch (and love) MTM. I lived in the Twins for a bit and loved biking around the lakes and visiting the MTM house. I even have a photo next to the MTM statue in downtown Minneapolis! So happy you love MTM too <3

I would LOVE to take naps more regularly. I had a few per month and when I did, it felt SO GOOD! Heart of Darkness did not impress me also.

Hi Susan, I love these unbookish tags that let us get to know all kinds of interesting things about you.
You and I have identical sentiments about Hemingway. He was an all-around odious human being and I don't care for his novels AT ALL, but his life (and the whole Lost Generation) fascinates me. According to things I've read here and there, he was not a very truthful person and apparently lied about or embellished things in A Moveable Feast. I have also from time to time become obsessed with Martha Gellhorn, wife number three.
I was thinking of you last weekend when the storms hit Kentucky because you told us that's where you grew up. I hope all your loved ones there stayed safe.
I wish you a very Happy Christmas! Regarding question #2, I have that Wham! song Last Christmas stuck in my head. "My God, I thought you were someone to rely on..." Such a great passive-aggressive Christmas song, ha ha.

What is swearing too much? How much is too much? Ha! I grew up in a very similar household. I don’t swear because of the exact same reason.

I totally understand what you mean about being able to curse more (as a fellow "goodie goodie", I do wish I could break rules more easily).
I loved seeing your picture with your brothers!! (The sibling question ha been one of my favorites from this tag). My dad actually has five brothers and one sister. So my aunt is also the only woman in the group of siblings.
