I too have encountered these licorice flavored cookies. I feel your pain and horror!
I also thought that question about “bars” was food related! 😆 There’s a tasty vanilla crunchy one, but I don’t recall the brand.

Good movie of book is Brideshead Revisited...11 hour long made for TV movie...Oliver, Gielgud, Irons and many many more...outstanding cinimatic tour de force...captures the book entirely...I love Huck Finn...14 yo son of abusive town drunk in deep South ...ever read Alberta and Jacob?
