I’m going to work as a tow truck driver possibly this coming week! And this has literally been a dream of mine ever since I was a little boy. Recently I’ve made it my mission in life to find a place that will hire & train me to operate a tow truck and I finally found just that & got a job interview scheduled for Monday at noon with a local tow company. I’m so excited and blessed beyond words could describe! I can’t wait to be behind the wheel of a roll back!

Starting my first on-call day as a rollback tow truck driver tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. in northern Nevada. It's pretty cool seeing other tow truck operators across the country. There's little differences here and there from company to company, but overall pretty much the same. Thanks for the vid, man--best of luck to ya.

Quick tip boss. All gm models have a winching point for the smaller j hook, so you can work with all the space your winch needs. Meaning you can put the truck much closer to the front of the bed

12:12 you see how far back your truck is (suburban) if you use the smaller jay hooks that are on your main hook, there are slots in all GM vehicles where you can insert them giving u the ability to use that extra winch length so you can pull it more forward

I came here because I was curious what a typical day looks like and I gotta say it put a smile on my face! I had a really cool guy where I'm at tow my car after my tires got punctured, and I asked him "You got a pretty badass truck man. Do you like this job?" And he said "Hell yeah, I make a decent living and I help people out which feels a lot more productive to me than sitting somewhere. No shade to office work, it's useful too, haha." He had a straight piped truck because he had a muffler issue before but to be honest she sounded pretty good, his truck was a beast. It hauled ass and he was very efficient in his process. Made me curious if maybe that line of work is somewhere I got a future in. I dunno, at the end of the day my main takeaway is it's pretty cool to get good service and the man doing the service being a chill dude as well.

Also boss the ring of the strap must be on the side wall of the tire, if you leave it like that with all that weight the ring will snap, and remember use the jay hooks when you have long vehicles, so you won't be hanging from the back

you need to pull the truck as far forward as possible...less stress on the slide rails and puts less weight on the rear axle. you will learn in time my friend.
