A Day In The Life As A Georgia Wrecker Operator - Interstate Impound!

A look inside what my daily life is like as a tow operator working in the Metro Atlanta area. It was a fairly slow day with only one call, a L.E. impound that was left abandoned on the side of the interstate. Spent some time helping out in our shop, which i didn't get any footage of and went home around 5.

Very professional, very thorough, very humble, and good editing. Keep it up! You are going to be wildly successful with this!

Interesting what you did with the drive shaft. The other tow companies i follow actually remove the whole shaft and place it in the cab. I follow Ron Pratt, Plaza Towing, Hal Watts Sumter Wrecker in SC and Pepe's.. Hal doesn't have a rotator but that man gets it done. I do love how people weren't moving over to the left lane while you were working and there wasn't a cop there even though they called you to do the job.
Have a nice day and be safe. Love your dogs..

Had to retire with a bad heart, God I miss towing and driving trucks in general. Enjoy it guys. I was 59 and went in for D.O.T physical. I was done that day.Govt telling you can’t work is un-American.

Been very curious about those driveline buddies. Looks pretty simple. Get you some straps for the under reach for this light stuff makes it 10x faster. Good work.

Be careful out there son. So east to get hurt doing that stuff. Atlanta area is a tough area to work in and around. I am in middle Ga. just south of Macon and I hate driving to Atlanta....

I'm looking at getting into this line of work soon. Got an interview with a company, hoping it pans out. Been doing OTR almost 10 years now and kinda hitting the wall, getting tired of being on the road all the time. I wanna be home more so I can actually do stuff like cook in the kitchen, fish, bowling, whatever.

No formal training in mechanical work, though I've certainly been mechanically inclined over the years. If I find a problem, I'll find a solution, be it research, asking for help, or improving if need be. At least being home more would give me the option of actually getting trained.

I've always been interested in the wrecker industry, particularly the heavy side. Living up in Iowa, come winter I'm certain I should get plenty of practice in lol.

Even if I take a bit of a pay cut, just being based outta home will make up for that. Though I think after I accumulate some experience in the field I should break even on revenue.

Figure for now maybe I'd watch some more videos from folks in the field.

Great video….great work ethic, I’ve subscribed……look forward to following, , only one thing I would consider….you should put blocks under the steer tyres, while you have the front lifted and you are chaining the axles to the lift, if the hydraulics fail, you could be pinned under the trucks axle or body……👍💪
