Watching this from the DR. Every time I come here, I get reminded that we need so little to be happy. My Dominican hubby always says, why do you need five of the same thing, he is so right😂 He has taught me so much! This year, I also want to buy a small condo, so we will cut back alot after the holidays! Happy New Year Kyra❤🎉 ❤

Another great video. Here are a few observations.
1. You DO NOT need makeup and simple skincare is the best. This coming from someone who has been in the beauty industry for 40 years.
2. Milo is absolutely precious.
3. My 2003 Honda accord has 271, 000 miles on it and still runs like a charm. I stay up to date on maintenance so will drive it till it dies.
4. Physical gifts are a no go for me as well. Experiences over physical gifts anytime.

5:03 Milo reminds me of my cat. I adopted her back in 2016, also at 6 weeks, and I look at her every now and again when she’s playing and go wow! I can’t believe how much you’ve grown! She went from being abandoned in a shed covered in motor oil and fleas to being the best friend I could ever ask for. And yes she sleeps like 15 hours a day haha best cat ever! Also for your Acura, 113, 000 is just the break in period, Honda makes the best engines in the world, if that car doesn’t make it to 300, 000 I would be disappointed.

Kyra! I just got to the part where you mention that you don’t wear any makeup and I paused the video to say SIS, PREACH! You are SO beautiful without makeup and it’s ironic for me hearing you say that because I too stopped wearing makeup recently, completely (I’m 29F). I can totally relate to you on how it’s the most freeing, incredible feeling. When I first stopped a few months ago, I would still look at myself and pick apart my flaws and struggle to see my beauty, but I stuck with the uncomfortable feelings and just the other day I looked at myself and felt more beautiful than I’ve ever felt when wearing makeup. Okay, that’s my schpiel! Going back to the video, cheers, you rock :)

After this last Christmas, my husband and I decided to no longer participate in White Elephant gift exchanges. They cost us $20-$40 and usually we end up receiving gifts that we just have to rehome because they don’t don’t into our lives.

Hi Kyra! great video. It got me thinking of the color analysis consultation I got done for myself this year that has been absolutely game changing for saving me money and gave me more info about what to buy for my wardrobe (they custom analyze what colors and tones look best) 10/10 investment for myself - I will no longer buy clothes that don't suit my skin tone, hair color, etc. I have even gotten compliments on the colors, I was blown away someone noticed the shift when I stopped wearing the colors that aren't apart of my color wheel. HIGHLY recommend! I got mine through Color Guru and she was great but I feel so much more confident. Only buying clothes/accessories that are my colors and that saves me money!!

i probably wouldn't buy makeup if i didnt need it for work (in front of HD cameras)
i so rarely buy gifts for people i've become calmer during the holidays because i'm not stressing myself about getting everyone gifts. my mom is happiest with a gif card to buy her books, anyway

Happy new year! This is my new favorite channel. I’m curious- have you ever done a complete social media detox (not counting video apps such as YouTube)? I am in my first week of a complete social media detox (no social media app usage) and it’s great! Would be curious to see your experience if you have or ever end up doing one.

Lol, half the time I was watching Milo while listening to you!
My 2023 goals is actually to buy/spend less coupled with a project pan to use up the makeup and skincare I have. I want to also wear as little makeup as you, so working my way there.
After noticing that only a handful of my already-downsized closet is still being used, I'm not buying more clothes unless it's an identified gap in my wardrobe moving forward.

This is what I have so far, because my overarching goal of spending less makes me rethink any potential purchases way many more times through.
