Complete Beginners Guide to Adobe Audition CC 2021 | Voice Over Edition | Part 1

Software for voice over can be really intimidating starting out….

...but it doesn’t have to be. In this video I cover what you absolutely need to know for software for VO, the basics of Adobe Audition for VO, and why I use it. There are lots of different kinds of software out there that can be used for VO so take some time to find out what works best for your workflow. A tip when making mistakes instead of clapping - if you have access to the keyboard while reading, just press the 'm' key on your keyboard and it will create a marker. Then you can go to the marker tab later and have easy access to all the marker / mistakes you made in a list with timestamps and easy access.

Excellent introductory video, Bill. The reason for 48k over 44.1k for sample rate isn't about quality, it's purely about compatibility with video - 48k works arithmetically with various frame rates (24, 25, 29.97 etc), whereas the "CD standard" of 44.1k doesnt. If your audio is accompanying video, then it has to be 48k as the standard choice.

I'll be buying a bit of a starter set up soon this year and have been listening to all your videos as I walk around on patrol.
You cover a lot of really great info that not a lot of other video makers have covered or haven't covered in a great way - eg: regurgitating nearly 5th grew same exact info in slightly different ways.
