Good video especially tip #1. Make sure you look at the company's social media accounts and their website, taking note of recent initiatives they may be undertaking. The non-technical members of the interview panel I sat on, were disappointed that candidates just showed up to the interview without taking an interest in learning about the organisation beforehand.

I would totally agree with the second point. Confidence is the most important thing at interview. 😉

Really liked the points covered. A great base for anyone struggling during interviews.

Another thing I would like to shed light on is to know how to market yourself. Especially if you are from an economy that does not have a sizeable job market in the industry you wish to take a job in. Not only do you exhibit the qualities that could make you stand out from the competition during the interview, be sure to point it out as well at the end of the interview. For example, if you are someone who excels at logical problems, exhibit it by walking them through such a problem, show the interviewer what your thought process is, and bring them to the conclusion. You could even help them learn something new, which is always a bonus.

Good luck!

Great tips,
I wish the interviewers (at least in our region) really know what they' want.
I applied once and my key to get the job in addition to my humble CV was a recommendation from a friend who they trust in

I see you are reading "Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action" by Simon Sinek.

4:36 I got an interview last week, and I was so confident and impressed the 2 interviewers, they couldn't keep up with me, I'm pretty sure they liked me, but they asked me the boss sometimes comes and sit next to you the whole day while you are coding what's your thought about that, I said why sitting next to me? She said he just likes to do that and other developers didn't like it, I told her frankly I will tell him to go away I can't work while you sitting here, how come I'm going to do database joint while you are next to me, if he wants to sit next to me while we do some small changes like colors checking results together that fine and great we can do it, but just sitting on top of my head no sorry, and because i was so confident i didn't get the JOB LOL

The best tip is to identify as a female, person of color or transgender. That matters more than coding skills in 2020. Diversity hire ftw
