Yes the yi 4k+ has a better stabilization but with the risk of being blurry sometimes. 4k is an awesome resolutios but not for everyone because it full your SD way faster (expecially if you are on a 32gigs sd) and the immages are way more heavy to edit so i went for the hero 2018 buying it at 140 in my country with a discount

thank you for the excellent comparison, in my opinion 4k + wins only due to the drill-down, basically GoPro 2018 does not lag behind and undoubtedly wins due to water protection. I apologize for grammar, tk. through an interpreter. I'm from Russia :)

I watched this on a 1080p smartphone LCD and honestly preferred most of the GoPro footage over the Yi footage. The colors on the GoPro look better, the Yi's look too flat imo. I also noticed a lot more 'artifacts' in the Yi footage, which I've noticed in other Yi footage before. Might be due to YouTube compression but it's really annoying. The fisheye distortion however is a big annoyance on the GoPro.

Based on this footage only, I don't think the Yi is worth 100$ extra.

I love the Yi in camera slow motion option. I use it all the time. The new GoPro should’ve been $159. I really think it would’ve sold really good and maybe get people into GoPro and upgrade. Great review.👍

Yi should make a waterproof 4K camera that is waterproof without the case, then, it will DESTROY the GoPro in MANY ways

Hi Ben, let me know from your experience with Yi 4K+, cam that I have too, and I've done the latest firmware update from Yi site, but, since then the wifi connection stopped working, I mean, the phone can't connect to Yi's wifi, it recognizes the wifi name but doesn't connect, not in 2.4G and not in 5G. Can you please tell me if you had already update your Yi 4K+ to the newest firmware and check de wifi connection? Thanks

I'm reviewing a budget action cam for my YouTube channel. It's supposed to be 4k 24hz, although the resolution is high the image quality is pretty poor. It has electronic image stabilization and low light mode. Also, I'm trying to figure out the best way to use the camera. right now I have most of the settings off and I'm still getting a lot of grain in the video. In your opinion what are the best settings to turn off or to alter. Also you cannot adjust the iso in video mode you can only adjust EV? Thanks in advance Greg with Pizzles Tech Time.
