So the GoPro7 has better EIS, which any decent film maker is going to turn off.
Plus it flickers under the lights in the shopping center, .. And the flat colour profile on the Yi looks to keep more dynamic range.
Looks like, if you have a gimbal, the Yi4K+ is better for Indie Film makers, but the GoPro is better for sporting users.
Don't forget - the currect GoPro's are not 'Water Proof', but 'Water Resistant' - the big difference between those two term, is in the warranty - if you go underwater with the GoPro and the water seeps in, you won't be getting a Warranty Replacement.

Sami.. Thanks... in your opinion, which of these cams have better image stabilization when hard mounted to a bicycle handlebar.... When you carry these your arm absorbs some shock to float you over the bumps. But when hard mounted on a moving bicycle, you see every giggle in the road.
Which would you suggest for a bicycle handlebar. .? Thank you for another great comparison review.

Told ya GoPro Hero will win. But still, when it comes to budget camera that will stay with you, Yi 4K makes a good choice. agreed that you have to be very careful with Yi, you drop it, and shatter LCD and then you are done, you drop it and scratch the lens immediately, and you are done. I have my Yi Lite dropped just twice from just one feet height and shattered touch screen and scratch on lens. Yi 4k, is still scratch less as I never dropped it. But I am now moved away from Yi Cameras. and Now i am using firefly 8S. I believe Firefly 8S is something that will compete with GoPro hero for its image quality and performance. but nothing beats GoPro on Stabilization and steady video now :) Good video buddy. keep up the good work.

Good fair comparison. Even given the price difference I’d go with the go pro. Why? Better stabilization.
5his is from an avid fdrx3000 owner/user, and yi 4k user.

Thank you. Very good video. But you should pronounce "GO PRO" with strong PROOOO" . Sometimes your Gopro sounds like "Gober".

1 really big argument for gopro is h265....yi have only h264
