I’m a bit confused about my cockatiels behavior. Every night since I got her, I cover up her cage with blankets. Every time I do this she screams and hisses at me. But it’s not like she doesn’t expect it, when I get the blankets ready she automatically goes to her sleeping perch. Does anyone know why she does this? I just don’t want to be making her scared or uncomfortable.

my moms parrot doesnt like anyone accept my brother. any way to try and gain his trust? he used tobe so friendlyas a baby. now as an adult he seems to see everyone as . threat accept my brother. i got him to like me in a sense of talking to me, and makes ounds to get my attention. but i fear him biting as hes an african grey and hasbitten my ear before 😅

Next year we’re moving and I was looking into an African grey, I’m very prepared for a bird I just want to know as much as I can
I found a breeder that hopefully will be there next year that hand raises cockatiels
I’m hoping to see if they clip the wings all together or right before a new home, as I’m hoping my poor guy can fly normally though I know they’ll grow back at some point

Hi...i need help...v have bought 2 cocktails of 45days old..now it's 1month over..it's like kind of tamed...v keep dem in cage and play with dem for about 3hrs letting dem out ..it sits on my shoulder...but wat is my problem is ..they have sharp nails ..they hurt me and scratch me when they stand on my arm wrist...i have scratched all over my palm and wrist...is it harmful .will that cause any infectio....how to prevent this.
