Like what the guy in the couple said, having just enough to pay for your needs plus a little extra is a good spot to be in. I've lived in poverty when I was younger but now I'm in a similar position to that couple. But if I got a million dollars dumped into my account, I'd probably give half of it to people who need help meeting their needs. I'd spend some to just go on 1 luxury experience (like travel and stay in a nice hotel) then I would invest the rest. I feel like I always need to be striving for something and if I had a ton of money, like 10 million, it would take away some of my need of feeling like I need to achieve and look forward to something I've earned.
