Compilation of awesome and badass Kanan Jarrus moments. This isn't all of them, but it's what I managed to find.

I own none of these clips.

Dang remember when we thought Kallus was a big bad and then he turned into everyone's favorite space uncle.

Kanan Jarrus (Caleb Dume) is a complete character in every sense of the word because contemplating how we met him, without proving that he was a JEDI, and only performing rebellious tasks, we saw him grow as a JEDI, as a MASTER and as a PERSON.

We learned about his history and what he suffered as most of the survivors of order 66 the Jedi massacre, and although he did not finish his Jedi training properly, he took Ezra as an apprentice, being very difficult to teach him because of Ezra's attitude that for me It is worse than Luke and Anakin's together, (but I'll talk about that later), showing his great patience and managing to transmit all his knowledge, even after losing his sight defending his Padawan against a well-trained Sith such as Maul, emerging victorious. From that duel, and thanks to Bendu's advice, Kanan learns to live with the force and make a communion with it, which he later transmits to his young Padawan.

And returning to Ezra's point, Ezra is an excellent character despite what everyone says, as we see his evolution from only surviving and stealing on the streets of Lothal, to learning to care and do something for the things that matter to him thanks to his teacher Kanan, who is a Father for him. Kanan's tragic death reinforces that lesson, with the Jedi himself and Ahsoka Tano telling Ezra that he needs to let go of his desire to save Kanan. Kanan dies a hero, protecting his entire crew after fighting in the Imperial Depot with Hera. He has come a long way since he hesitated to use a lightsaber against the Empire, preferring to hide his identity. The scene parallels the first time he came out of hiding in front of the Empire, when he armed his lightsaber to save captive Wookiees in the series premiere. Only now, when Kanan demonstrates his power, is he as public as he can get, atop the explosive fuel tank in full view of his crew and the Empire. In the end, Kanan becomes a beacon of light by which Ezra can see the way on his own Jedi journey.

Kanan Jarrus is one of the best characters, Jedi masters that ever existed, for achieving what he achieved with his Padawan and with the rebellion, in addition to his intense power with the force, and from Ezra we left the door open for him to be equal to or better than his teacher.

His death hit me so hard. He was my favorite character. But at least we got to hear his voice in the Rise of Skywalker.

3:59
Grand Inquisitor: "What did you hope to gain by coming here?"
Kanan: "You're clever... Figure it out!"

Darth Vader: "You unlocked the secret of the Temple... How did _you_ accomplish this?"
Ezra: "You're smart, figure it out!"

Like master, like padawan.

After kanan was blinded and learned to see with the force, he seemed to have doubled in power. All his skills and abilities became more refined. I personally think he became more powerful than some Jedi council members. I wish we got to see more hand to hand fights (with no lightsaber) with him after he was blinded.

"No, because I have nothing left to fear" is such a badass line lol

Can we talk about how powerful Kanan is? He literally styled on Maul after shortly being blinded. Definitely worthy of that Jedi Knight title

One thing that I always appreciated about Kanen's character is that there was never any talk of his power or who he was and wasn't capable of defeating
He's was always just a guy doing his best with what he had

I have always loved how Ashoka had no hesitation in leaving a blind wounded Kanan to fight Maul. As soon as she saw Kanan get up she backed off the fight so Kanan could defeat Maul himself.

The one thing I like about the second confrontation between Kanan and the Grand Inquisitor is how they're surprisingly polite to eachother. The GI compliments that he's gotten better and Kanan reciprocates that he's noticed it. It kinda emphasizes that even though they're enemies, they're honorable.

I like how he's very much a "guerrilla" Style jedi, he uses everything at his disposal, blasters, the force, his lightsaber and so on, i also enjoy how he uses the force very sparingly, nice in general to see a jedi knight for once instead of a master

3:19 I just realized that's the last thing Kanan's master Depa Bilaba said to him before she died.

0:49 And it is perfect storytelling. The slow buildup, the cutting of all but the sound of the blaster fire then the viewers hear the build of the song. Old fans recognize almost at once while new fans realize they are building up to something. And then...the lightsaber insights. And the viewers are like the Wookiee’s in awe as the scene and song comes full circle. You feel the hope of the Wookiee’s the shock of the troopers and the agent, not sure if they were seeing was real. This is how you build up a character and get a good payoff. He is not as famous as Luke, of Obi-wan, Yoda or Anakin, but he is a Jedi none the less and he brings that weight with him on screen.

I love his style. Practical, brutally efficient. No unnecessary move, no unnecessary pitty

Kanan was one of the best Jedi to have ever lived. Strong in the force, his attachments were his strength and most of all the best mentor anyone could've ever hoped for. RIP Caleb Dume
