Fostering Kids: What No One Tells You About Foster Care // Are you ready to be a foster parent? Foster care is not for the faint of heart because foster care children require extra love and care. The foster care system doesn't always prepare you for everything you need to know to get started. In this video, I will talk about 7 things that you should know before you jump into foster care parenting.

As an adoption lawyer who has worked in juvenile court in my state, I have experienced everything I mentioned in this video and it's great to see foster families who are willing to share their experiences. Keep up the good work Zero2Five!!!

This reminds me of my childhood. I lost everything and everyone I knew in one day. My 12 year old brother was dead and our mom went to jail for murder. That was 29 years ago, but I had some Amazing families who I lived with until the courts finally placed me with some relatives to raise me! I'm forever grateful to those foster families!

I’m only 18, months away from going to college, and I’m looking forward to fostering children when I’m older. This was very helpful

Fostering sounds scary.... In that as the foster mom i am going to be attached to the child then He or she is gone.. That's hard.

I’m 22 & really want to foster. I know I am legally eligible but I feel too young. I wish I could hear from other young foster parents

Great tips. I am a former foster parent who relocated down south and am considering getting back into it. I am also looking to start a support group for some church members who are fostering and these tips coupled with my 15 years experience as a foster parent I feel will really help. Thank you for the amazing work you are doing.❤

Thx for providing this valuable information for new foster parents. I was a Foster Mom so I could help some of the children I met in troubled teen industry as a Psych Nurse. I wanted to share that this appears to be an unwise move in mwny cases. Innocent caring humans should be warned that if you become a Foster Mom to someone in DJJ after their mom was murdered often leads to your loved ones suddenly dying within a few years. This happened to me, so I feel obligated as a USVet Chaplain Assistant to warn others. TY Foster Parents for your genorosity & love!❤❤❤

I just had a 24 year old move out and my 18 year old daughter is about to move out. So I need one of the extra rooms for one of my hobbies but I'll have an extra room soon. So I'm considering fostering

If you receive a child during the summer, does that give you more time to enroll in school. Seems like summer would be the best season to receive.

I think a great thing would also be better if they actually talked to you about phone calls . What to expect how to handle bad behavior from bio parents . I wish someone would have prepared me for that..
