Love this response. Women need to seek their own interests because their health care provider doesn't.

$350 every 4 months is more than worth the relief I get. Creams were “ok.” T-Pellets have not only helped with my menopausal issues, but also with my pain management.

A good bio-identical hormone replacement doctor who uses pellets will prescribe what is best for you. I'm on a standard dose testosterone pellet (some of which is converted to estrogen) but I'm also on an estradiol patch because I have fibroids which cause me cramps occasionally. The patch can be removed if the pain is too much but a estrogen pellet cannot be removed. The doctor is being paid for his services, which is consultation, analyzation of test results and the writing of prescriptions. He or she is still paid for their time whether you get a pellet or a patch. The pellets themselves are very cheap. What is expensive is the subcutaneous insertion. Anesthesia, dressings, etc - that's the expensive part. Having the energy of a 30 35 year old when you're 55 is priceless. Menopause brain fog is not a factor in your personal or professional life. Ps For those who may be confused about a testosterone pellet, go to the internet and research. Every woman naturally has a little testosterone before menopause. The testosterone pellet replaces your testosterone that you naturally had.

PLEASE tell me what FDA approved HRT costs about $20/month and where to find it!!! I'm paying $300/month for estrogen and progesterone!

I was a patient who had a total hysterectomy 18 years ago and was put on Premarin. I felt like I was on an emotional, wild roller coaster after a year. To me paying out of pocket for progesterone and estrogen pellets gave me back my life. Slow steady release of hormones was best for me.
My OB/GYN ( not a naturalpathic) worked with me and lowered the cost.

It’s insanely expensive. But it’s been keeping me sane. And I’m getting both estradiol and testosterone. Does this option include testosterone? I know that the testosterone replacement is a huge part of my feeling better.

I use pellets. They are expensive but the patch did not do anything. IMO the pellets saved me. Not sure what the form of hormone replacement you are speaking about. I would like more info. The pellets are estrogen and testosterone. The progesterone is a troche. The troche comes from a compounding pharmacy. It costs me approx $2000.00/yr. That includes labor, meds, placement of pellets.

Also, an estrogen patch alone is not going to restore you to pre-menopause performance. You need that little bit of testosterone that a pellet delivers in a slow and continuous supply. This is of course, if you want this kind of therapy. I've been on it for 7 years. I'm am just now getting a few grays at my temples but I'm not wrinkled, my stomach is flat, I have energy and I'm not forgetful. I have the stamina I had at 30, 35. I can compete with Millennials at work! No one guesses my real age and that is a good thing. Age discrimination is real! Anyway, if you're done working, want to age naturally or not interested, that's your choice too. For me, it's worth it but I'm not making minimum wage either.

I never used any type of HRT. I adjusted my diet and figured out that white sugar made me have hot flashes. I was having problems with my memory and figured out I was very low in Vit D.

For some of us, who have tried every other delivery method of estradiol (oral, cream, gel, troche, injections) with NONE of them being effective, pellets have been a godsend. Expensive? Yep. Does it suck that I have to pay out of pocket for them? Yep, but until the FDA approves them, I will keep using them. Also, testosterone pellets were a game changer for me.

Insurances should cover testosterone for women as well, not just for males.

I offer both, it is not about money for me it is about patient preference, pellets out of sight out of kind busy people, creams for people who do not mind daily application, and patch for people who do not mind application twice a week I offer it all because I believe patients should have options ❤

Why don’t you take insurance? I’m in Houston area too and I went to your website you charge over $1000 for a consultation and yes, it’s probably worth it but not everybody could afford over $1000 especially in this economy.

My primary Care doctor about 1 month ago prescribed estradiol vaginal suppositories to help alleviate discomfort, pain! during sex, and the cost of the tube was $451. It was covered by my insurance, my cost was $50. I would love to find a $20 per month solution!

RN of 24 years here, just turned 50 and I just gotta say… YOU ROCK!! Telling the truth intelligently and assertively, exposing the gamez and giving alternatives. I would love to know your suggestions for post lumpectomy patients who prior to surgery was on HRT…. And now suffering g horribly again without HRT as they tell her it’s off the table (but she didn’t have the genetic type, so there’s that) anyway, thanks for all the facts!!

Hi, I have been following you for a while and I am grateful for your transparency in addressing menopause. Is Estratest a good alternative to the pellets that I have been treated for HRT? Thank you
