One tip to the new tie crew……Squirrel tail, like buck tail can slip on you. Take your time and secure both those type tail materials, with either good tight wraps or add a tiny amount of Hard as Nails ( Nail Polish ) on base thread then continue to do your wraps. Hackle, Turkey flats, and other misc. feathers are a bit easier to secure. Rob

Or you can cover the eye of your jig head with a pair of pliers and dip into your powder paint and not close the eye in the first place
