MJ's shoulders are at backboard level at the apex of his jump. Crazy considering the distance and angle he jumped from.

I think he learnt his lesson from this and never jumped to his full potential after this. The man couldve jumped higher his whole career if he wanted to.

Don't let this absolutely ridiculous highlight distract you from the fact that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time

For those wondering about the short three-point line on the court:

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) experimented with a 19-foot-9-inch three-point goal and a 30-second shot clock for one season to increase offense.

That's the line you're seeing.

Jordan's 3-point percentage for the 1982–1983 college season was 44.7%.

That was the extent of his 3pt shooting in college.

in highschool we had prob the worst black basketball team i ever saw i have no clue why they were so bad but we would go and watch them anyways because they were our friends and root for them. they lost every single game but i remember one game our friend did a block almost similar to this. he smacked the ball so god damn hard it was like he was playing volleyball it echoed in the entire gym. of course we lost miserably but all we talked about the next day was that god damn block and 20 years later i still remember it. the only other moment i remember is when our other friend was so bad at shooting he completely missed the entire rim and backboard and hit a cheerleader LOL
